A super-cute on-trend mini tote crossbody that’s surprisingly spacious

Ergonomic tote handles, wide mouth opening, a large zip pocket inside with snug lining, and an optional crossbody strap.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Outer Fabric – 0.25m (¼ yard or 1 Fat Quarter). Most fabric types including canvas, quilt cottons, home decor weights, waterproof canvas, cork, vinyl, oilskin, or denim.
  • Lining Fabric – 0.25m (1/3 yard). Quilt weight cottons.
  • Interfacing for Outer – 0.25m (¼ yard or 1 Fat Quarter).
  • For denim, canvas, quilt cottons and home dec weights: Firm fusible interfacing e.g. Decovil Light/Pellon 525, or 2 layers of Pellon SF101.
  • For firm fabrics such as waterproof canvas, cork, firm vinyl, or waxed canvas/oilskin: No interfacing required.
  • Interfacing for Lining – 0.25m (1/3 yard). Medium weight fusible interfacing (MWFI) such as Vilene F220, G700, Pellon SF101.
  • Stiffener for Bag Base – 21 x 11cm (8” x 4”). Ultra heavy-weight interfacing e.g. Decovil Heavy or Pellon F71.
  • Zips:    #5 Nylon Coil Zip: One for Main Closure: 40cm (16”) or longer to match outer.

                       #3 Nylon Coil Zip: One for Lining Pocket: 23cm (9”) or longer to match lining.

  • Hardware for the Bag: 1 x metal zip end.
  • Webbing for Grab Handles – 66cm (26″) length of 32mm (1 ¼”) wide webbing.
  • Webbing for Optional Crossbody Strap – 153cm (60″) length of 32mm (1 ¼”) wide webbing.
  • Hardware for Optional Crossbody Strap: Two x 19mm (¾”) D-rings, One x adjuster buckle/slider, and two x swivel clasps width 32mm (1 ¼”).
  • Hardware for Optional Mini Scarf Embellishment – One x 1” spring gate O-ring
  • Polyester Thread: 100% Polyester sewing thread for strength, such as Gutermann Sew
  • Optional Logo Badge.

    I really like the pattern and the instructions look good. Unfortunately I only found out I needed Adobe to print out the pattern. It would have been great to just being able to print it out using google chrome or similar like most other patterns I have purchased. I will try and use the cutting instructions.

      Hi Christel.
      You CAN print direct from Chrome or any browser if you choose to 😀- I also include cutting measurements with the pattern pieces so you don’t need to print at all.😀
      Any designer will always recomend that you print using Adobe Reader though (Its a free program and there is a link in the pattern instructions). We suggest not to print directly from a phone or a browser, as that will often (and sometimes randomly) amend the size of the pattern piece to fit the size of the sheet of paper you are printing on in your own country – (different countries have different sized paper).
