Print:

To print correctly always use Adobe and print at 100% scale. All patterns from every designer should be printed using Adobe, never directly from  a phone or a browser, as that will often (and sometimes randomly) amend the size of the pattern piece to fit the size of the sheet of paper you are printing on in your own country – (different countries have different sized paper).

For full details of how to print a pattern at the correct size please watch: https://youtu.be/AAm4SkbyEGg

You probably already have Adobe Reader, but if not, you can download it for free – (including for iPads) at http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Yes, you can– click to choose your own currency on the right-hand side bar or the very top left of the website.

It’s all automatic so if payment goes through the e-mail goes out to you immediately (please check your spam folder) and the pattern purchase link opens on your screen too.

The download is available instantly – however in a small number of cases your own bank can hold a payment and return it to you. Spencer Ogg do not have visibility of your order until a payment arrives.

Please allow an hour for your own bank procedures and then recheck your account to make sure your payment went through – it may have been returned to you. Please try again from a different browser or device if this is the case.

If your payment has been confirmed and you still cannot locate your order by e-mail or by logging into your account, please e-mail sales@spencerogg.com we normally reply within 24 hours max.

The front page of any Spencer Ogg pattern which includes a video tutorial will state what page of the document the video link can be found – its normally at the top of page three!

Open the document on your device and click on the link to open the video  (don’t copy and paste or type into your browser).

The link to Spencer Ogg video tutorials is only available upon payment for a pattern – they are not freely visible to all on YouTube.

The video tutorial is for your private viewing with the purchased pattern, it may not be shared in any part or form and no links may be published.

Only those patterns that state ‘video tutorial included’ include a video link. Earlier Spencer Ogg patterns do not have a video tutorial and are sold at a lower price, they have fully illustrated steps all the way through so hopefully you shouldn’t need a video.

Diane makes patterns that are domestic machine friendly and only works with domestic machines. She has the Atelier 7 (Skyline 7 in the US) and reviewed it here:

https://www.spencerogg.com/sewing-machine-review-janome-atelier/

For clarity – Diane is now sponsored by Janome who supply her sewing machine – however this was a personal choice after using numerous brands over many years. Any information she gives about machines or any products used is truthful and honest from her own experience, good or bad.

Advice on which sewing machine to purchase:

Domestic: A domestic machine is a good all-rounder if you are sewing many different projects as it has a variety of different stitches including buttonholes, zig zag and even decorative stitches. If you are choosing a domestic, go to a local dealer to try a few – make sure it will sew through 7 or eight layers of fabric with ease.

Industrial: An industrial machine will only have straight stitch but it will sew through many more layers and are a great purchase for serious bag-makers who have the space, and you can pick them up second hand quite cheaply.
